Performances
We have been honored to perform concerts in a wide variety of venues, with many of North America’s renowned cantors and cantorial soloists including: Richard Cohn, Cory Winter, Alberto Mizrahi, Jacob and Fredda Mendelson, Sol Zim, Pavel Roytman, Debra Bard, Steven Stoehr, David Berger, Kim Harris, Erin Frankel, David Goldstein, Vicky Glikin, Julie Staple, Ben Tisser, Arik Luck, Susan Lewis Friedman, Jay O'Brien, Laurie Akers, Andrea Rae Markowicz, Rayna Green, Faryn Rudnick, Scott Simon, and Sofia Falkovitch.
Kol Zimrah has appeared locally, nationally, and, internationally in Berlin to perform at the Louis Lewandowski Festival and in Paris to sing in concert with Cantor Sofia Falkovitch. Within the U.S., we have appeared at the Cantors Assembly (Conservative), the General Assembly of Jewish Federations, the North American Jewish Choral Festival, the American Conference of Cantors (Reform), with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Riccardo Muti, at Lyric Opera Chicago, and in Kristallnacht commemorations in Chicago and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. In addition to multiple venues in the Chicago area, our performances have taken us to Milwaukee, Detroit, New York, and Indiana.
Closer to home, Kol Zimrah contributes substantially to our community. Understanding the power of music in all of our lives, we frequently sing for local synagogues and temples and many nursing homes including the Selfhelp Home, Lieberman Geriatric Health Center, and Weinberg Community for Senior Living.
